Singer Tim McGraw Eyes Politics
"I think he's got it," Clinton says of McGraw in an Esquire magazine story that hits newsstands Monday. "The Democrats need candidates whom people can relate to in a personal way, people who understand their lives and their concerns and share their values. And I think that's something Tim can do without even pretending."

He identified health care as his top issue, and said one of his main reasons for wanting to enter politics is Clinton, whom he calls "the best president we ever had."

I don't know much about him, but I didn't see anything in the article that impressed me all that much. From what I have seen of your blog, I'd rather see you, JPW, run for office. You could be one of those three letter presidents like JFK, LBJ, FDR, etc. Seriously, you have you head screwed on straight.
He's southern, came from a poor ass family, blue collar, loves Pa Clinton and his wife is super fine. A good Democrat. There just aren't enough of you Berkeley folks to get the good guys elected. We've got to recapture the south... my people need us!
You know, davy, I've thought about running for office at some point in my life. I'm still a kid in some aspects and maybe I need the cold reality of a 40th birthday to kick in my candidate gene. You'll vote for me, right?
As long as you truly keep the faith (meaning not being afraid to be vocally, proudly and clearly anti-war, pro-peace, pro-gay/civil rights, etc) I will not only vote for you, I will be on the front lines with you. However, besides a few like Barbara Lee, keeping the faith seems to mean not running as a Democrat in this country...
