For me, this is one of the sicker plays by the Bush Admin. Tillman WAS a hero for what he did before he got shot in the head 3 times by his own men. But for Rummy to lie about how he got killed in order to pump up the jingo here in the states and to put a pretty spin on it is about as disgusting as it gets. The Rethugs really support our troops, don't they. Pieces of shit.

Man's Toddler Son Wanders Into Strip Club:
A Kansas man was arrested at a Tulsa strip club after police say his toddler son wandered from an unlocked car into the club over the weekend.Whenever I leave a kid in the car to go check out some titties, I give him a 40 of the good stuff (some of dat O.E.) so he'll fall asleep. This guy is an amateur. Monster stories? Kids aren't afraid of monsters anymore. You've got to get your 6 year old passed out drunk if you want to go tuck some dollars in some t-backs without going home first. Geez.
The toddler told police that his father told him to stay in the car, and that if he left it, "monsters would eat him," reports indicate.

Maybe it is because I am of a certain age that I see the world in a differnet light. The Sixies, the Vietnam Era were/are the defining moments in my world view---just as WWII/The Depression was to my parents' generation. Before Vietnam, Civil Rights, etc. I bought the party line: The U.S. is good and virtuous in everything it does and has done. We were called "Ugly Americans" back then, too. I remember riots when U.S. presidents visited other countries, especially Latin America and other third world countries. This is not new, or unique to Bush. I remember the ubiquitous "Yankee go home!". The Bush regime is utterly repulsive, to be sure, but not THAT different from the rest of U.S. history. Bush has not made the world hate the U.S., just made it hate us more. Preemptive war, murder, and torture are the American tradtition throughtout my lifetime; this regime has simply tried not to hide it and does not even see why it should.
