DBT Week in Review - 4/1-7

A veritable crap load of DBT info this week. I'm not even sure where to start.

New West birthed a slide stream of the ENTIRE album. (I'm listening to it all the way through for the first time as a write this. BEST.... ROCK... BAND.... EVER)!

You can check it out the Quicktime stream here and the Windows Media here. Check 'em both cause they may be different. I'm working on the Quicktime stream at the moment.

We welcome a new fan site to the ranks this week with One Of These Days. This is a fantastic site that archives Trucker shows of yore. It is the DB of DBT (found a place to work that in, Alec ;-D). Awesome timeline and discography, too. Alec, the creator of the site even has the rarist of rare... DBT setlist. Check one out below:

Awesome site, Alec!

Hat tip to Ninebullets for alerting us to the Truckers in Harp Magazine:

Drive-By Truckers: Drive They Said:
"The foremost thing you need to know about the Drive-By Truckers’ decade-long career arc and how their new album, A Blessing and a Curse, fits snugly at its apex is this: After years spent debunking Southern stereotypes, the Drive-By Truckers reached a critical decision to not become one"
Harp has also put up an awesome video of DBT in the studio.

Phil, either on the Yahoo Group or Ninebullets, gave us this video of Let There Be Rock from the Pentax show in Europe. Thanks, Phil!

Next up is a child that is so loved and at such an early age has been introduced to The Best Rock that future success is virtually guaranteed and the parents should be given an award. From the Yahoo Group I present to you Meaux Jason and his lovely wife's kick-ass kid!

Check out the picture on Gimp's office wall. A true fan.

TequliaBrad from the Yahoo Group offer's DBTJenn some much needed relief from all the hard work she puts into the band and the fans:
"I am sorry to hear about your mental well being. That being said, perhaps I can help. Do you have feelings of inadequacy? Do you suffer from shyness? Do you sometimes wish you were more assertive? If you answered yes to any of these questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist about Tequila(r). Tequila(r) is the safe, natural way to feel better and more confident about yourself and your actions. Tequila(r) can help ease you out of your shyness and let you tell the world that you're ready and willing to do just about anything. You will notice the benefits of Tequila(r) almost immediately, and with a regimen of regular doses you can overcome any obstacles that prevent you from living the life you want to live. Shyness and awkwardness will be a thing of the past, and you will discover many talents you never knew you had. Stop hiding and start living, with Tequila(r). Tequila(r) may not be right for everyone. Women who are pregnant or nursing should not use Tequila(r). However, women who wouldn't mind nursing or becoming pregnant are encouraged to try it. Side effects may include dizziness, nausea, vomiting, incarceration, erotic lustfulness, loss of motor control, loss of clothing, loss of money, loss of virginity, delusions of grandeur, table dancing, headache, dehydration, dry mouth, and a desire to sing Karaoke and play all-night rounds of Strip Poker, Truth Or Dare, and Naked Twister."
