Let's Talk About Sex, Bay-Bee

This is only news because of who's been in charge the past 6 years.

Getting teens to abstain from sex is like trying to stop a monkey from picking its butt.

Oh, and fewer teen pregnancies due to contraceptives means what? Fewer abortions! Yay! Everybody wins!!

Birth control credited with drop in teen pregnancy:
"NEW YORK (Reuters) -- The dramatic declines in teenage pregnancy rates noted in the United States between 1995 and 2002 were largely due to improved contraceptive use, not to abstinence, a new study shows.

'The current emphasis of U.S. domestic and global policies, which stress abstinence-only sex education to the exclusion of accurate information on contraception, is misguided,' warn doctors in a report just released online by the American Journal of Public Health."

Modern romance: Get messaged when love is near:
"NEW YORK (CNN) -- Online dating is so last year. Now, if you're thinking romance, look to your mobile phone.

Match-making companies are creating new services that allow people to post their dating profile online and then automatically receive a text message on a GPS-enabled phone when a match is nearby, say, at a coffee shop around the corner.

The phenomenon, also known as 'mobile romance,' already has arrived in China, home to some 430 million mobile phone users. Most Chinese wireless service providers offer dating services to drive text message usage, which in turn creates revenue, according to Liu Bin, an analyst with BDA China Ltd., a Beijing-based telecommunications consulting firm."
