Snail Trail

I have so few brain cells this morning due to the Eddie Hinton party last night..... or did that end this morning?... god, I hope I have pants on..... whew, I have pants on.... that no thinky-thinky articles or politics today.

Pics and stories from the Eddie Hinton documentary and after party on Friday

Snail trails

Snails Save Energy by Re-Using Mucus Trails:
"In order to conserve valuable energy, snails essentially play a game of follow-the-leader, a new study finds.

Marijuana as wonder drug

Oh, its a wonder drug, alright. Wonder where you left your keys.... Wonder what the hell is the name of the person you met 2 seconds ago.... Wonder what happened to that box of chocolate covered Oreos you bought 2 seconds ago....

Seriously, though, it needs to be legalized. The damage I did to my body last night with a legal substance (alcohol) should be illegal.

"A NEW STUDY in the journal Neurology is being hailed as unassailable proof that marijuana is a valuable medicine. It is a sad commentary on the state of modern medicine -- and US drug policy -- that we still need 'proof' of something that medicine has known for 5,000 years."

Here's one of those, "Damn, that could have easily been me" moments. This happend on my campus on a route that I take to the main campus.

2 people hit when 2 SUVs collide / Woman dies, man seriously injured near USF campus:
"The wife of a University of San Francisco administrator was killed and a man was critically injured Thursday afternoon after an SUV that had been struck by another vehicle jumped the sidewalk near the USF campus, striking the two pedestrians.

A River Runs Through it.

Longest underground river found:
MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Cave divers in Mexico's Yucatan peninsula have discovered what may be the world's longest underground river, connecting two cave systems with a waterway at least 95 miles long.

Snails are delicious with butter sauce! Wonder if West African chimps with sharp sticks would enjoy them too?

If you add a little 'Rosemary' and 'Pepper' to that butter sauce, well, then, I don't see how those West African sharp stick chimps could resist!

Ms. Rosemary, it was a pleasure meeting you and Nick and all of the other incredible folks last night. It truly was my pleasure. Let's do it again soon!
