The March edition of RS endorses Obama for President
A New Hope : Rolling Stone:
"Obama has emerged by displaying precisely the kind of character and judgment we need in a president: renouncing the politics of fear, speaking frankly on the most pressing issues facing the country and sticking to his principles. He recognizes that running for president is an opportunity to inspire an entire nation."Obama and Lincoln both dig Glossary's new record?! How can you not for vote him.
"Like Abraham Lincoln, Barack Obama challenges America to rise up, to do what so many of us long to do: to summon 'the better angels of our nature.'"

Jason Isbell
Jason posted a song blog from his living room this week. I hope to see some DBT folks pick up this practice in the future.
Fantastic cover of a Dylan tune. I get hypnotized watching Jason play the guitar.

Ahh crap, I hate this html, tags computer stuff. Sorry, you'll have to cut and paste the link. Sounds like he had a pretty cool time, some awesome pics there too.
That's a great Jason Isbell song. Never really be a Dylan fan, but Jason Isbell puts so much heart into whatever he does. I love the way the internet allows us an insight into people's stuff like this. Wicked.
Kick ass, ABAT! I'll going to use that blog in this weeks DBT WIR. Man, I am so coming to visit next year.
I'm the same. Never been a Dylan fan but I freakin' love Jason's version of that song.
I also agree on the 'wickedness' of the 'tubes allow folks like me and you to connect from many thousands of miles away.
Yeah, it kinda opens the world up to some pretty interesting insights. Not just having to wade through the crap that the TV feeds us, but getting a take from somebody 'on the ground' so to speak is cool.
I worry sometimes that people don't use any critical analysis and just accept what they see as true, but that goes for the TV and newspapers too. The web is just another form of information gathering.
I love the way Jason Isbell can take somebody else's song and make it sound like it's all his. Kinda like Johnny Cash's version of NIN's 'Hurt'. The song and video still send chills up my spine. No wonder Trent Reznor said he wouldn't perform it live any more.
Here in the U.S. critical analysis is virtually non existent. The web is the only source of good info. The traditional media is for shite.
Jason Isbell is a musical genius. Can't wait for the new record later this year.
Do you not have any reliable TV news at all? I know Fox is intrinsically a load of bollocks, but aren't there others?
I can pick between Aljazeera, Sky UK, Sky Australia, BBC, CNN, Fox and our own stuff. I try and watch a broad a selection as possible and then go from there.
The web is pretty awesome, but there is a lot of agenda driven stuff out there as well.
