DBT Week in Review - 4/7/08

I'm working on an additional DBT WIR post for Friday that will showcase many of the fine DBT fans who have been risking whiskey soaking of digital circuitry, memory damaging beer slop, and flung sweat smudging the lens of their very fine SLR cameras in order to capture that perfect shot from The Rock Show.

Fans across the U.S. have been snapping some really awesome photos of the band. Stay tune for the highlights.

You can come see us, meet Daniel and drink lots of beer with us at the following places in the next few weeks:

Friday, April 18 @ 3rd and Lindsley (Nashville, TN.)

Thursday, April 24 @ The Nick (Birmingham, AL.)

Hopefully we’ll be doing some local shows later this summer, so keep a close watch on our schedule if you’re looking forward to a show in the Shoals area. Until then we’re gonna be working on our second album, so be on the lookout for new demos to be popping up on our music player very soon"

Music News

No this rock fan. The title should state 'Classic Rock fans'

Male rock fans likely to vote Republican: survey:

"The survey found women and fans of alternative radio, featuring '80s and '90s rock, tend to be Democratic, while men and classic rockers lean Republican.

Asked about their overall presidential preference, Democrat Barack Obama led the pack with 26 percent support among those planning on voting in the November election."

What? Yeah! I'll take a case.

Lil Jon Gets Into Winemaking:

"It turns out Lil Jon drinks more than crunk juice — the larger-than-life producer and rapper has started his own wine label, offering selections including chardonnay and merlot."

MySpace + 3 major record companies = a website that will barely function.

Record companies join MySpace in online music venture:

"(04-03) 16:23 PDT SAN FRANCISCO -- In a move that will put it in direct competition with Apple's iTunes, MySpace announced Thursday it is creating an online music store that will allow its legion of users to buy and stream millions of songs."
