Feel Wrongly

There's lots domestically to blog about, but it all seems pointless when matched against what is happening in Japan.

Maybe tomorrow I'll break out the bitch machine again....

How are these things failing so easily? How easily would the ancient reactors in the U.S. fail?

Japan Says 2nd Reactor May Have Ruptured With Radioactive Release -
"TOKYO — Japan’s nuclear crisis intensified on Wednesday after the authorities announced that a second reactor unit at the stricken Fukushima Daiichi plant in northeastern Japan may have ruptured and appeared to be releasing radioactive steam."

This yearly article came a bit early this year. However, it remains true. We are due.

"A 9.0 quake in this underwater fault that stretches from the northern tip of California all the way to Canada's British Columbia could simultaneously rattle major port cities of Vancouver, Portland and Seattle, unleash a massive tsunami and kill thousands of people."

Jeez. Paranoid much, Texas? Wonder why.

Again, 'feeling strongly' is not knowledge.

"'I feel strongly there is a high likelihood we will have radiation coming from Japan,' said Tammy Lahutsky as she waited at the Texas Star Pharmacy in Plano, Texas on Tuesday. There's not, but she bought six bottles for herself and a friend, anyway."
