AAW's 6th and Final Anniversary

On August 22, 2005 AAW was born:

Alabama Ass Whuppin': First Post:
This will be all things political, ridiculous, Drive-by Truckerish, Crimson Tide footballable, and whatever the hell else I decide to do with it.

Over the next 6 years this blog produced 2,775 posts.

Today is the 2,776th and final post on AAW.

I'd written several detailed final posts but deleted them.

No more needs to be written other than 'Uncle'.

I am very grateful for the opportunities that have and continue to occur because of this blog.

Thank you all very, very much.

Goodbye.

J.

JPW,
I rarely agree with you, but for some reason I check AAW daily. This is something Kos, Huffpo and the likes couldn't do. (In other words, there were plenty of places for me to disagree, but this was my favorite).

Good luck & all the best.

I will miss this blog, which I relied upon several times a week for smart, important insight.

Thanks, everyone. Not an easy decision. One I'm still struggling with...

Say it ain't so...
I've enjoyed your blog and all the pieces on music, current events, and the Crimson Tide. The pictures especially have reminded me of home. Take care and have a good 'un.

Sad to see you go, Jason, although I know you have other things going on to keep you busy. Will definitely miss my weekly DBT update as well as your other writings. Good luck with whatever you choose to do with your considerable talents.
