The DNC is PISSED:

The Big Dog is PISSED:

How do you fictionalize one of the greatest tragedies in American history, not to mention a tragedy that only happened a few years ago?

You don't just go make shit up, derogatory shit at that, about key players who are still alive no less. You don't market the TV show to children around the country as though it's fact. You don't put out statements claiming the thing is based on the September 11 report when it's also based on fiction. How are viewers supposed to know which part of the libelous broadcast is fictionalized?

They libeled living officials of our government. And now they plan on pedaling this garbage to millions of Americans right before the election - an election that Disney/ABC is helping to throw."

Now ABC will apparently run a disclaimer during the fakumentary.

Path to 9/11 Writer Admits Controversial Scene Was ‘Improvised,’ ‘Accidents Occur’:

"ABC is marketing its docudrama, The Path to 9/11, as “based on the 9/11 Commission Report.” It is defending the films multiple inaccuracies by claiming some scenes were “drawn from a variety of sources.”

But yesterday, writer and avowed conservative Cyrus Nowrasteh admitted that the films most controversial scene was based on nothing at all. Nowrasteh told a right-wing radio station that the scene was “improvised.” From the New York Times:"

Nowrasteh’s attitude appears completely inconsistent with ABC Entertainment President Steve McPherson. In promotional materials accompanying the film, McPherson said, “When you take on the responsibility of telling the story behind such an important event, it is absolutely critical that you get it right.”
