Bummer. I was hoping you would tell me today about how you felt about the 14th Amendment.

Here's a question for discussion: If Conservatives are saying that people were not brought here legally, then are they also saying that slavery was never legal in this country? Also, if they are saying that all ancestors of slaves are also not citizens of this country, then does that mean they are willing to subsidize a government program to deport such citizens, or else support a program to hire more immigration department employees to issue the proper documentation for these "illegal immigrants"?

One final question: How many times did the Batmobile catch a flat?

The 14th amendment was created and ratified in direct response to the Dred Scott case. The 14th amendment prevents crazy ass conservative politics from deciding citizenship based upon political will.

they're just trying to keep their bigoted base pumped up.

Funny how these 'constitutional traditionalist' have offered 6 or more constitutional amendments in the past 30 years (abortion, marriage, super majority for tax increase, citizenship,etc).
