We stayed at a Hampton Inn in Bowling Green, KY on our way to Florida before Thanksgiving. There must’ve been some kind of weather convention in town. There were people with IOAA jackets (I forget if those are the correct initials). A couple of the dudes were talking about the recent suicide of a stormchaser, and one guy stated that he knew a lot of the stormchasers, and how when the weather was clear for long spells at a time, those guys would be cranky and at each other’s throats. Once a storm hit, though, they were as happy as shit. He said a lot of them seemed depressed when they weren’t chasing storms.
Maybe they need to make a Stormchaser Squirrel.
The suicide guy was on the TV show Storm-chasers. He's been suffering from depression for quite a while.
I'm a weather junkie. When Twister came out in... what early 90s? I probably saw it 3 times in the threatre.
I will storm chase one day.
